Starlingpaw is a young apprentice of ShadowClan, and being the only kit of ShadowClan's leader, Brokenstar, Starlingpaw is cast out of her Clan due to her clanmates fearing that she will end up just like her father. But when she is attacked by a fox and is found near death by a ThunderClan patrol, Starlingpaw finds it hard to trust the cats that saved her life.

Series 1. Book 1 of 6. 'Night will lead a path of light.' Wind Clan has gone down hill after many seasons, less warriors, few apprentices and a shortage of prey. Dawn'Star, the leader, is struggling to keep the hopes of his clan alive. When the young rogue, Darky stumbles into camp, some Wind Clan cats are skeptical. But sooner or later, Darky is accepted and the prophecy continues. Wind Clan learns more and more from, and about this rogue. Wind Clan even feels more confident as kits become apprentices, and prey is becoming less scarce, but no cat thought about leaf-bare as of yet. Though, StarClan can't prevent a cat from falling into darkness, they can only delay it.

Dawncurl is born into perfection. Her mother always told her that life was a blessing and that she should never take it for granted. However since the birth of she and her brother, she was instantly cast aside by her father who favored her brother and claimed he would be heir to the throne. However, the roles will soon reverse when Dawncurl is discovered to be a skilled strategist and combatant. Not just skilled, but a prodigy. With this information she is finally given the praise she's always craved from her father. Along the journey, she finds out her family isn't so perfect and she will become the victim of it all. As a looming darkness unfolds, Dawncurl will fall under the hold of her father. Adoring his praise, she goes to grave measures to ensure that she keeps it, no matter the consequences; even if it means hurting the cats that she loves most.

Sparrowpaw doesn't know a lot of things. She doesn't know why the sun rises over the Root tree or why the wind blows. She doesn't know why she was so excited the worst day of her life, when glassy eyes ripped through her just as viciously as the beak did. She does know she's going to be a warrior though, even without her voice working properly. She has to be, no matter how small the world makes her out to be. These memories are not her's. Sparrowpaw is forced to fight them, but as she navigates the tangle of pain and joy her life is, she feels she might be fighting the wrong force.

Dawnwind is just an ordinary RiverClan medicine cat, but her past is nothing ordinary at all. At first, she lived life knowing that she wasn't a clanborn cat, but things change when Blizzardstorm spills the truth about her real parents. With the truth out, Dawnwind's mother seeks out revenge. 10,000 years have passed since the Dark Forest Battle and the four clans have thrived and humans have all but disappeared from the world. SkyClan had rejoined with the four clans and the five have moved for larger and better territory. They now live in territories as large as cities and camps as large as small towns. Simple dens have transformed into large homes with many rooms and can hold at least 80 cats. The warrior code still stands along with the many ideas the original clans held many years ago. The clans gather in the the center where a large circle of territory has been unclaimed for large gatherings. The clans have grown large enough that they now have two leaders and deputies instead of one and many medicine cats. But a new threat has arisen in the great peace the clans have grown over the many years. 'When River runs, Shadow fades, Sky falls, Thunder strikes, and Wind stops; a cat of each must reach for the Stars to stop the Forest of Darkness before Blood returns.' Where will you be in the midst of this new prophecy?
