Once the truth is revealed, what can the Clans do other than ask their silent ancestors for an explanation? But if StarClan remains quiet, then how can the Clans continue to trust their judgement? But when she is attacked by a fox and is found near death by a ThunderClan patrol, Starlingpaw finds it hard to trust the cats that saved her life.

"Keep allies close but adversaries closer." As WindClan and RiverClan continue to battle one another viciously over territory, WindClan scrambles to decipher a new prophecy. Swallowpaw finds herself an unwilling participant in executing the prophecy, becoming caught in the middle of a desperate grab for power. Mossfur is a young warrior getting used to his new responsibilities amidst the war between his clan and WindClan. Follow both Swallowpaw and Mossfur as they navigate a battle-hardened world, potentially changing Clan politics forever.

10,000 years have passed since the Dark Forest Battle and the four clans have thrived and humans have all but disappeared from the world. SkyClan had rejoined with the four clans and the five have moved for larger and better territory. They now live in territories as large as cities and camps as large as small towns. Simple dens have transformed into large homes with many rooms and can hold at least 80 cats. The warrior code still stands along with the many ideas the original clans held many years ago. The clans gather in the the center where a large circle of territory has been unclaimed for large gatherings. The clans have grown large enough that they now have two leaders and deputies instead of one and many medicine cats. But a new threat has arisen in the great peace the clans have grown over the many years. 'When River runs, Shadow fades, Sky falls, Thunder strikes, and Wind stops; a cat of each must reach for the Stars to stop the Forest of Darkness before Blood returns.' Where will you be in the midst of this new prophecy?

Cats who have faded are returning, stronger than ever, as well as some familiar cats who were forgotten over the years. A new prophecy has come, and a mysterious young cat has a dark secret even she doesn't know about. Trouble is nearing, will these new reborns be able to stop it?
