This story is taking place before the actual anime/manga but there will be parts from anime/manga so don't worry. I am not crazy about sad stuff so you know what that means. This story will follow mostly petra's pov but I will try to write others too. How did they meet? How did she survive female titan attack? All of that and a lot more will be in this fanfiction. When Petra Ral joins the Survey Corps, she never expected to find someone more surprising than what she'd already sees. But when she sees Levi Ackerman break down during an expedition, Petra can't help but wonder about this man's past, and why he seems so... broken. As she starts to help him and find more and more about him, Petra finds herself falling for the captain, and he makes a promise to her that would change her life- if they can survive the next expeditions.

This chapter follows the main storyline of the Manga by Hajime Isayama and highlights the final conversation between Eren Yeager, the holder of the Founding Titan and Captain Levi Ackerman, his senior and mentor in the Paradisian military.

After the events of the 57th Expedition outside of the walls, Levi lost almost all of his squad. Miraculous, Petra Ral has lived, but the state she's in makes it seem like she isn't returning to the fight anytime soon. In a very out of character moment Levi seems to have sympathy for his injured squad mate, and has taken it upon himself to help her in small ways when he can. Petra feels guilty over having Levi go out of his way to help her, but wonders what would compel him to act this way.

(This takes place after the Return to Shiganshina arc in the manga, so there will be major spoilers) Though it has been many months since the deaths of the old members of the Special Operations Squad, there is still something that will always remain empty in Captain Levi's heart. Something Petra Ral could only fill. Levi keeps telling himself that he has to move forward, but for some reason, he cannot. And to make things worse, Levi knows that Petra will be gone forevers. However, after eavesdropping on a conversation between the new commander of the Survey Corps, the titan-lover Hange Zoe, he partially hears about an action that the now deceased Commander Erwin carried to his grave. Though Levi doesn't believe it at first, the action is soon confirmed on an expedition, where the Survey Corps witness Titans being killed by an unknown stranger. But they will be shocked upon finding out that the stranger is none other than the long-lost, thought-to-be-deceased Petra Ral. Petra is warmly and tearfully welcomed back, but what will happen when something escalates between Levi and the revived soldier?
