From Maura's perspective. After losing the baby, Jane begins to isolate from her friends and family. Maura feels like she lost her best friend and with Casey back in the picture, her hopes for Jane to love her back disappear. Not wanting to be in the way of her friend's happiness, the doctor gives her space while leaning on the Rizzoli's brothers (who still have a crush on her)

Maura has been hinting around for awhile that she would like their family to expand. She doesn't want their children to be two far apart in ages and for them to have a close sibling bond. Henry just turned three recently and wants to be an older brother.
