Amber is an android. A rk800 model. Her and the other rk800 model, Connor, have been sent by Cyberlife to the Detroit Police Department to help with investigations into deviant androids. But something else is brewing in Detroit and something is different with Amber and Connor, something they aren't programmed for.

A detective is transferred to Detroit, Michigan, from a small town in Missouri. She is assigned as a temporary partner to Lieutenant Hank Anderson's android, Connor. Her first few cases with the android appear to be normal, standard in a way that felt recurring. When she gains the unwanted attention from a long-term serial killer, she is tasked with figuring out a set of twisted games to figure out who this mystery man or woman is. Does she succeed and turn them in, or lose and become their latest victim? Follow along to find out. (The plot is similar in places to A Detective's Twisted Fate that I previously wrote, but I want to spend time genuinely fleshing out the 'game' aspect that I introduced in the fic.)

It started out with short glances at other women that you didn't think much of. Connor had always had a little staring problem, it was never a problem for you though. Everything about him was perfect to you. His voice, the way he always played with that coin, and sometimes even the ring on his finger. Two years after the war to gain equal rights for androids was won peacefully, Elijah Kamski finished his last project that he had been working on closely with Cyberlife; RK900. Though Connor did not complete his mission and stop the deviants, Kamski used the amount of data Connor had provided, finishing RK900 with only minor flaws. After the war, one of these flaws would be considered that he couldn't be converted to deviancy, meaning he could not become a deviant unless he deviated himself. This android was sent to live with Connor, who stayed with Hank and Sumo. However, a police model android that couldn't become a deviant definitely couldn't fit in just staying at home. He was quickly given a job at the DPD and assigned his new partner; Gavin Reed. The two didn't ever seem to see eye to eye, the android constantly keeping a quick and perfect pace, whereas the detective slouched in his desk every morning doing nothing. Gavin was never really assigned big cases. Only smaller ones that required him to create police sketches and try to locate the suspect. However, when the next small case is assigned, it's a bit bigger than it was made out to be.

After undergoing physical and emotional trauma throughout new cases, Connor starts gaining consciousness, cutting off old ties with [Amanda].

Her mission was almost always to kill. Soon, she hated it. She knew it was wrong, and she wanted to stop taking life. If anyone knew this, she would be dismantled. Then he came along. Connor, an RK800 Android was sent to Detroit Police Department to hunt deviants. Lucia quickly took a liking to him. The only problem was that he was hunting her. The prey fell in love with the hunter.

"Yes," I did it. I finished the game: Detroit. Connor was a deviant alongside Markus. Markus is in love with North, but Simon was killed on the roof. Not only was Simon dead, but so was Luther. At least Kara and Alice escaped. "Ohh no, I won't be able to see Connor anymore. My beautiful Husband!" I sigh and watch Connor hug Hank in the aftermath. Once I finished watching the credits, I bought all the character art offered for Connor using the points I earned. Looking at him makes my heart flutter. He's too cute. I squeal at the thought of me being with him. "What the fuck?" I heard knocking. I open my eyes only to see a room I don't recognize. I take in my surroundings and try to make sense of this. I was interrupted when the knocking got louder. I carefully make my way toward the door. Playing it safe, I decided to take a peek through the peephole. Connor? There was no way this was possible. I step away from the door and hope that they'll leave. "DPD. We know you're home, open up the door. We need to ask some questions." Well, there goes that plan. What do you do when your wish to meet Connor comes true? Do you look for a way home or stay with him? Detroit and its characters do not belong to me.
