First 15-or-so chapters are loosely inspired by the events of the game. Warning: This is not a by-the-book copy of the events of the game. You are a new police detective in the Detroit police force. And you suffer from anxiety and slight depression. While doing your investigations with your new partners, an android named Connor starts to have positive feelings towards you and starts to develop romantic feelings.

Connor couldn't figure you out and that bothered him, more than he was willing to admit. Usually, he didn't care whether he was close to someone or not, but then, they weren't you and they weren't working with him all the time. Every time you were near, he would ache to hear you open up to him, to give a few details of your personal life that he knew nothing about, but you gave away nothing - nothing - and he failed to compute why. There was only one thing to do. He would do whatever he had to to get to know you - that was his mission and he always completed his mission.

Summary: You are a young friend of Hank who was his partner before the tragedy happened to him. Now, after the android revolution you came back to work again with Hank. I have no idea if I can make the character gender-neutral or not so I think the reader is a woman. The Revolution has ended three months ago. Deviants are the new species with the same rights as humans and the same freedom. But you are different. An android that looks and acts human. That is considered human. After going back to the DPD (Detroit Police Department) for a special case investigation, you meet Hank and another android.
