-n A great desire to travel and see the world. Not all who wander are lost- And as twenty year-old Nova Chase comes to learn, not all who are lost wander at first. Nova has always been a stationary girl. She grew up in a small town, with a close-knit group of friends, went to college nearby, and moved back as soon as she got her GenEd, and got a regular 9-5 job at the market. She's never travelled, has never thought about moving away, and never fancied the idea of it, up until she starts questioning why she stays. One thing leads to another, and Nova suddenly finds herself on the road, with nothing but a map, a car radio, and her backpack filled with odds and ends to keep her company.

When you're far away from your shadow, you can see the light, the outside world in the blur. But when you get closer... until the only thing visible is your shadow, the light from behind you does nothing; what we see we believe. So if all we see is our shadow then that's all we are.-KeSpiration Charlie has a plan. Others call it a dream. She's an artist and aspires to be the best. Her three best friends are the reason she's still in this town. Well figuratively. Literally, No one can really afford to leave. But soon enough problems start to unwind about her home, about her friends, about the shadows. And it leaves her hands shaking, gripping around a paint brush. It leaves this town in ruins. It leaves her life blank. Until all she can paint, is a black canvas.

Ava stood in front of her canvas, her brush hovering over the paint. The soft light of the setting sun streamed through her window, illuminating her cluttered studio. She sighed, glancing at her unfinished piece-a vibrant landscape that didn't quite match the vision in her mind. "Why can't I get it right?" she muttered, frustration creeping in.
