The Age of Brass is a delve into the retrofuturistic, decopunk world of political strife told through the eyes of a graduate student of the arts, Cherith, and her friends Alfred, William, and Walter. Centered on a fictional Earth's central landmass, "The Continent", the trio must fight their own social and political battles, as well as team together to seam a fractured world through the rejection of human ambition and feckless progress. Using strategy and smarts, the group must immerse themselves in the wretched underside of the seemingly surreal art-deco cities on the Continent, in attempt to secure true prosperity for the immaculate world they desire to love.

"Then I know something else that can." With a devilish grin he'd tug me by the arm to lead me off somewhere, to where I wasn't certain, but it could never be good if he was smiling like how he was then. "Really?" His eyes would soften. He'd pull me to his chest and bring his one hand up to cup my cheek, stroking the skin just under my eye. He'd glance down to my lips, and then back up again as if I were the only girl that he had ever lusted over. He'd rest his forehead on mine, closing his eyes to savor the moment, breathing a sigh through his nose. Then he'd pull away completely, a smirk playing on his lips like he'd just won the lottery. "Nah!" And he'd laugh, bent over and slapping his knee like it was the most hilarious thing he'd ever heard. Tom Buchanan always had a sick sense of humor like that. ~

Detective Gray makes use of the expertise of a renowned Jewish scholar, who unveils the link between the murderer's codified messages and a strange piece of evidence, a medieval manuscript--Sefer ha-Shem (The Book of the Name)--by Rabbi Eleazar of Worms, a famous medieval Cabalist, wonder-worker and golem-maker. Following every available clue, Gray comes to believe that Tobias is just a scapegoat for the real killer, who devised an arcane murder to cover more mundane reasons.
