Lillian Grace Smith lived by one rule: life is too short to not dance. In 1923, the 19-year-old flapper spent her nights sneaking into speakeasies, chasing jazz music, and collecting memories faster than she could keep them. She never imagined one reckless night would end in flames. When a fire tears through a crowded speakeasy, Lillian finds herself trapped between life and death. Carlisle Cullen saves her and she awakens to a whole new world she never knew existed. Now, nearly a century later, Lillian must learn how to navigate eternity while carrying the scars of the night that changed everything. After all, a little party never killed nobody...right?

New York City. The Roaring Twenties. Hot Jazz, Guns and Bootleggers. But for shopgirl Slender McNally, it's not the exhilarating life she seeks but rather one a little less chaotic. Each day, Slender struggles to keep her family together in the aftermath of a tragedy while heading off to the deli her father owned to make just enough money to keep them afloat. Her mother, rarely present, is consumed nightly with men and speakeasies while her sister, an acid-tongued, aspiring stage actress is fixated only on becoming a star. Then one day, a routine accounting trip leads her to check up on an unsettled debt. What Slender happens upon surprises her--for a young, well-dressed man of considerable wealth has now asked her to accompany him to dinner.      Things begin to really rev and roar when Joey the Mouse arrives in a Rolls-Royce, complete with driver, and whisks her off to the finest clothing shop in New York City for a dinner dress, inexplicably transforming her into a flapper. But the move comes with a price, notably when he sneaks Slender into the hottest speakeasy in the city, The Sudsbucket, run by his boss, a celebrated gangster nicknamed Soapy Callahan on account of his public front as a soap and perfume salesman. So, when Slender discovers the intentions of Joey the Mouse, she wants out. But what Joey doesn't tell her that first night at The Sudsbucket is that he has just pulled her into the middle of a turf war and has a plan for her whether she likes it or not...because Soapy Callahan is expanding his bootlegging empire and he wants Slender's deli. And the boss gets what he wants.

His introduction into your life matches his behaviour: rough and erratic. You can tell Sans has been keeping an eye on you since the first time he came to hear you sing, but you didn't expect he'd end up coming to you for a favour. It's a favour that might as well be considered a life-changing mission, with how the results could greatly affect the future of monsters and humans on the Surface. He insists it's not that big of a deal, but as each day gets increasingly complicated and bigger responsibilities fall on your shoulders, it feels like there's a lot more than meets the eye. Skip to a couple of months working under his wing, and he confesses his true motivation for having you alongside him since day one. • • • NOTICE: This work is based off Sooner or Later, You're Gonna Be Mine. The major differences from that alternate universe are that Frisk remains unchanged from the original Undertale universe, and the Reader replaces Frisk's role as a singer.

Ryacell's world collapses when he encounters an unknown beast in church. The insomniac, orphaned newsboy, Ryacell, lives off of his saved francs at the wake of the new decade, the "Années Folles," until he gets an unexpected visit from his diehard crush - the elegant, beautiful, and rich girl, Saphire Creliz. Through Saphire, he meets the tomboyish orphan, Rashelle Naverias. As he learns more about his new acquaintances, he crosses a point of no return. Updated every Friday (or every other Friday)! Dear fellow reader, I'd just like to preface you with a couple of things. Firstly, I don't consider myself a writer. I am probably a beginner at most, haha, so I apologize for any blips you may come across. Secondly, although this story does have a slow "prologue" (I would call), there will be some graphic scenes along the way, and I will put a warning if a chapter does contain any gory bits. Lastly, please no spoilers to new readers, but you all should know that. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Like dark fantasy? Mystery? Plot twists? Romance? Comedy? Action? All of the above? Well, I hope this story provides you with some type of enjoyment. Thank you! -RREN

Alfred Jones lives in New York City, during possibly the most thrilling ages the metropolis has ever known: the Roaring Twenties. However, unlike the thousands of young Americans chasing the American Dream, he IS the American Dream. Enjoying the ride that is this raucous decade, he just takes it day by day; that is, until a certain someone enters his life, and sends it all spiraling gloriously, thrillingly, dangerously out of control. By all means, I'm just screwing around here, might not even go further with it. Depends on whether it's any good. Let me know what you think! Note: None of the pictures are mine. If you recognize one as yours, and want credit, let me know in the comments section of the chapter it is used in. Thanks much!

The Sapphire Awards 2020 Winner - 2nd Place in Historical Fiction The Sapphire Awards 2020 Winner - Best Cover Art Review from @Stahlist This charming short story depicts a woman grieving for her husband after a terrible accident leaves him bedridden in a coma. With undeniable literary flair, the author relates a series of events that will compel the reader onwards, proving at turns emotionally stirring, subtly unsettling and pleasantly surprising. For a nice, old-fashioned story about a creepy house with untold secrets, this is a great book to go with.

2020, the supposed year of revolution and fulfilments of dreams. It featured in the dreams and hopes of many thinkers of yesteryear as the ultimate year of realisation of their imaginations. On the eve of 31st December 2019, people celebrated the end of a year, a decade, and the beginning of a new one. They made jokes about "bringing the roaring '20s back!", but were careful to add "but just the pleasant parts", as an almost afterthought. Some would call it fate, others would say it's a mere coincidence. Whatever it is, humanity was not prepared for this whirlwind of a year that was 2020. In the first week of 2020, the Third World War seemed imminent. But, by the end of January, it was the last thing on everyone's mind. For then, we had a fresh problem: a previously unknown virus that had gripped an enormous chunk of the Chinese population. They named it the Novel Coronavirus. It spread faster than anyone could've imagined and soon, it established its presence in every nation. In 2022, with the last COVID-19 patient discharged from the hospital, the WHO declared that the pandemic had ended. The human race has survived the pandemic and made it through, but will it ever be the same again? (DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH)

Vigil lives in fear of her own mind. Voices live inside her head. She should have been in an asylum, but her parents' are determined to keep her condition a secret. In order to hide the sickness, she is kept in the luxurious manor house, only allowed in public for a couple hours. When she meets the family's young gardener, she relies on him to show her the world-- to show her what love is. Make them stop. Make it stop. Sweaty palms were clamped over the sides of her head, though ears were not required to hear the voices. A scream was building in her throat, but she couldn't let them know. Couldn't give away the demons that lurked inside her brain. So she let the fear out in a different way. Fingernails tore the carefully painted murals that adorned her bedroom walls. Teeth ripped into linen sheets. Her mouth gaped open in a silent scream. I won't stop until you give up. The voice was still booming through her skull. Her hands dug into her hair. "Shut up, shut up, shut up!" She hissed, willing herself from sobbing. I won't stop until you give up. Jump! The last part was a head-splitting roar, and the girl threw herself upon the bed. A knock at the door. A soft voice, her mother. "Vigil? Did it happen?" The door slowly creaked open. Her mother cautiously inched toward her body, like a hunter approaching a half-dead wild animal. Not like a half-dead wild animal. Vigil was, at the end of the day, just that.
