Short Story//Historical Fiction (4 pages) Caroline, a zealous and passionate young writer, takes a trip to Arras, France to visit the birthplace of her hero, and favourite historical figure. There, she searches for inspiration for her novel- information on his past, trying to pierce the veil of controversy and trying to find out what really happened all those years ago. Was he really a psychopathic, bloodthirsty tyrant, as many would argue? Or a virtuous hero of the people? Caroline doesn't know for sure, but on one of her morning walks, she has a rather interesting encounter with a rather interesting young man...

It might have been a normal day for Alexis Barden, a normal year, a normal life, except Maximilien de Robespierre appeared in her Paris apartment during breakfast.

As I learn about it more I figured it be a fun way to determine how I felt he'd feel at times. Also this is purely for my own personal enjoyment and fun as well as a way for me to understand the content that I am learning.
