Może i podziwiała Kane'a przez całe życie, lecz nie zawahała się, by podbić rankingi piosenką o tym, jaki z niego śmieć, gdy tylko zdradził basistkę jej zespołu. Trochę gitary elektrycznej, perkusji i parę lirycznych przekleństw - a wizerunek słynnego rockmana zostaje poważnie nadszarpnięty. Nic więc dziwnego, że Mel i Kane skaczą sobie do gardeł. Wszystkie media Ameryki wiedzą, by nie umieszczać ich razem w jednym pokoju; chyba że z pokoju mają zostać gruzy. Tym gorzej, że snuje się za nimi widmo podpisanego nie w porę kontraktu, na mocy którego mają nagrać piosenkę do filmu... w duecie. Przecież to będzie katastrofa. Mel z pewnością nie spocznie, nim nie zrujnuje kariery Kane'a. A Kane nie odpuści, nim nie udowodni, że ta ruda, postrzelona rockmanka myli się co do niego bardziej, niż jej się wydaje. Choćby mieli po drodze spalić się wzajemnie żywcem. No cóż. Niech żyje rock & roll.
