Ava, Miles, Benjamin, Finn and Dominic have one thing in common; they go to the same high school. After an eventful day of detention, they discover that they also have a common talent for music and start to become friends. But then they come crashing back to their realities and realize that their friendship isn't possible in the narrow-minded Royce Academy. "Just some nerd who happened to sleep with your girlfriend before you did." Benji said before storming off. "You did what?!" Caleb yelled at me, "You slut!" Eighteen year old Emmy Porter doesn't know what to do with her life. Fresh out of education, she's got the world at her feet, but isn't sure what to make of all the freedom. Emmy's sister, however, has got it all mapped out. This week she wants to get the lead part in a new musical and Emmy ends up auditioning too.
