What if Harry Potter wasn't the Chosen one. What if he was just the expendable brother of the Chosen one?
In a world where the Light side isn't worthy of its name, darkness suddenly seems more compelling to Harry Potter, at least it's a side honest with its name.
With time, however, Harry learns that life isn't composed of Light and Dark like the pieces in a chess game. It's more like a cross-word puzzle really. Everyone tries to cross each other. People are loved as long as they're valuable. The world's corrupted.
So he lets Dumbledore and Voldemort play with their white and black pawns, respectively. While he spends his time solving cross-word puzzles.
