Taking place in 1960 Paris, France, when a young waiter named Gabriel Alphonse became a waiter at the renowned bistro La Gueule de Saturne, run by Vincent Charbonneau, he finds himself growing attached to the owner and his coworker Rody Lamoree, and unknowingly he saves a womans life, and saved the two men too.

It had been a month since Rody and Manon had broken up. Leaving Rody unable to continue life with the same satisfaction he once did. When he learns of a orchestra concert Manon is playing in he jumps at the opportunity. Little did he know that concert would change everything.

(art by racheldrawsthis!) this is basically a hadestown dead plate au told in novel format where rody and manon take the places of orpheus and eurydice. please note that a majority of the plot and some of the language in this fanfic is derived from the original broadway musical by anais mitchell and i have no intention of plagiarizing her amazing masterpiece, NOR do i own any of racheldrawsthis' characters or any of the studio investigrave games. this is simply me trying to merge my two hyperfixations into one mess of a fanfic lol. although, i do have one OC (magnolia lin) that will be a character in this story. anyway, enjoy! this'll probably be a trainwreck, but i'll be performing in hadestown in a few months as hermes, and this is all i have to channel my excitement. This takes place after Ending 1. Rody stayed in his apartment for about 4 days now. He already ate all of the leftovers Vince gave him. After day 5 he eventually accepted that Manon really didn't like him. He tried his best to move on. He still has a life, after all.

Vincent survived the devestating fire and the blow of a broken bottle to his throat, with the help of a kind young man called Adrian. Adrian had noticed his favorite bistro caught on fire and saw a man running away from the scene, like the heroic man he is he goes inside to see if there were any survivers in need of saving. He got some burns after saving the bistro's head chef, Vincent Charbonneau. After that, Adrian takes him to the hospital to get him treated.

He dragged his hands down his face finger nails catching on his skin and small dots of blood beginning to bead. "But you like her better..."
