Ralph started life on the island as a small, unsure boy who was thrust into the position of leader. They called him Chief, but he did not feel worthy of their respect. He was constantly challenged and threatened by a fiery opposing force called Jack Merridew, head chorister and bully. Jack and Ralph butted heads to the point of violence. But after nearly six long years stranded, Ralph learned to fight back. He chased the savages back to castle rock and drew borders. He regained his tribe. Now at age 18, he had grown from a small boy to a golden, chiseled chief who stood 6'0. He was admired by all, even those who despised him... One day an accidental encounter with the hunters and their savage leader will shake up Ralph's whole world. As Jack reignites old rivalry and passion, Ralph struggles to find what he truly wants. Will he resist the savage's advances or fall prey to old romance?

Jack Merridew was a miserable boy, his world slowly starting to slip away from the grasp of his own hands. As an insomniac and destined high school dropout living a pretty much completely uneventful life, nothing was ever colorful in his eyes. His life stays motionless until one day, he sees pools of jaded green and slowly a mirage of vibrant colors flooding into his life. modern lord of the flies, but they're not on an island. just an angsty high school life. (i had to age up sam and eric, percival, and henry.) ralph, jack, simon, roger, piggy, sam and eric are transferred from their own separate schools to pacific high school, becoming freshmen. here, they have the worst years of their lives. (also, expect some minor jalph and some palph fluff. possibly some rogermon.) (douglas is a lotf movie character.)

Its been 4 miserable years since the incident years since 10 year old Ralph Foley escaped the grasp of the raging fire and those savage huntere. Ralph is now 13 going on 14, and reunites with the exact people he wanted to escape.

The boys didn't just meet each other on the island. They had history together. But especially the relationship between Roger and Simon came to change drastically.

EDIT: Username change [Modern AU, college] Jack had always thought that the worst mistake he made was falling in love with the blonde haired beach boy all the way back in grade 5. However, what he didn't realize was that he could do something much worse in his fits of anger.

"Ralph?" A discordant sound ruined his sapphire fantasy. Blinking, Ralph saw the skies for what they were. Endless pools of déja vu. Clear yet clouded, glimmering on a face that was ugly yet beautiful. He breathed in the heat. He knew the universe he was looking at, the power in those wide skies. This creature had a name. The simplicity of it's branding contrasted with it's complex nature. "Jack." {¤■°}~?~{°■¤} Jack, Ralph, Piggy, Simon, and Roger have been through Hell. An island infested with primal desires does end up affecting a proper group of school boys. Even if they are British. I totally didn't see that coming. But when given the chance to start over and forget, to wash away the blood and heal the scars, will they take it? And if they do, will they resume the childhood that was ripped from their young and disturbed hands? (Oh who are we kidding, there wouldn't be a plot if they weren't brainwashed.) Will Jack find yet another spear? Will Ralph blow something besides the conch? And how many times will Simon faint? P.S. ~It's a modern a.u. So stop whining, or I'll sick Merridew on you. :) (Also Simon never died. Neither did Piggy.) As always, if you like, give it a vote :)
