(Trying to write this again) Neo is a prick of a kid. She's a smartass, stubborn, and just outright mean. Having been born to a human father and a fishman mother, she's been on the run since the age of 7, hiding from the World Government, and avoiding a hard truth she wishes she could destroy. 6 years after being abandoned by her mother, she grows too ill to keep running, giving one of the strongest men in the world the perfect moment to finally get his daughter before she started running again. Except there's one issue; Neo is persistent on not being his child. Roger is just as equally stubborn, and doesn't want her leaving his ship. Neo has to confront what she's been running from, why she hates her father, all while she's trying to cover the truth.

Luffy smiled at her tenderly and ran his fingers through her red hair. "None of that. Don't say sorry. It's not your fault. What's more important is for you to be okay." He whispered while brushing the tears that streamed down on her cheek. In the other world, luffy grew up alone before he met Shanks, Ace and Sabo. However, in this world, Luffy was blessed enough to grow up with his younger twin sister. How much would it change the trajectory of Luffy's life with her in it? One thing for sure, he will have one more person that he will cherish and protect with his life. Disclaimer: One piece belongs to Oda. This is an AU that will only impact his childhood but not much in his pirate life. This story has many inspirations, especially pertaining to the stories of Shanks being the "Dad who steps up for Luffy." I adore such story, and I am kind of obsessed with it. Though, there is not much story focused on that relationship. Shoutout to @Islenthatur (they are from AO3, by the way), they are one of my huge inspiration for writing this story. Some of the ideas, like Ocean Blessed and Luffy taking Benn's last name, would be incorporated into the story. It's such a wholesome idea, honestly.
