I had previously written another book like this, but I deleted it because it ~did not spark joy~. So I redid it with this one. Enjoy!

Set during the events of Order 66 and the Great Jedi Purge, this story goes beneath the surface of the tales and into the true horrors of the genocide that nearly drove the Jedi into mass extinction - as experienced by the rest of the Galaxy. Brae Taergyn is a Jedi-branded terrorist, self-branded Freedom Fighter from Coruscant, who aims to liberate the weak from the tyranny of the Jedi. She has epiphanised that the Jedi's illusion of galaxy-wide peace had to be dismantled and her view of the truth be spread to the far reaches of the Outer Rim and elsewhere, but it seems as though Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and the Imperial Senate have juxtaposing ideologies.

"Are you with me?" "All the way." I look up to see the light shining brighter and brighter. A light that's only meaning is death. I hug Cassian tighter with tears running down my cheeks onto his jacket. I was never afraid to die, I never really had a reason to live. But standing here on this beach, with Cassian's arms wrapped tight around me, and knowing the difference we made, I want to live. I have a reason to want to live. I am upset and scared that this is the end just when things felt like they were only beginning. But with Cassian holding me tight in his arm's, as scared as I am, I have never felt more safe and at home. But that was not the end. It was just the beginning. Taking place during the finals moments we see Jyn and Cassian in the movie, to well after that, this is a story filled with adventure, romance, and connections to the other movies making the whole journey possible to be cannon. This is not just a fanfic, but my theories, my beliefs of their adventure not being over, my hopes that they lived, and the scenes I constantly create in my head and replay over and over again, put into a story, leading up to The Force Awakens. This is a book I believe (being a hard core Jassian shipper myself), any Jassian shipper would love.
