Hey there! I am 21 year old who is going through her first heartbreak. So, obviously I needed a distraction and the pandemic isn't helping. Now, I was an avid reader before college - used to read a book daily (almost) but I lost that habit amidst assignments and what-not in the university. So, I was planning to pick that habit up but I didn't know where to start so I was just re-reading my comforting pieces of childhood (aka the Harry Potter books and some fav HP fanfictions). Now, I know these sound like random facts about me but I swear we will connect it all in a moment. Now, a few days ago I watched this Meryl Streep movie - Julie and Julia and I loved the idea of blogging something and putting it out there in an endless void. Now, I needed a task. What could that be? Reading. Uh huh makes sense. But reading what? I am in my 20s and Harry Potter series is still not be the best possible option to brag that "I read". And I came across this Time's magazine top 100 list. And I know, I know. The idea isn't new, and isn't even probably remotely interesting but I plan to read all these books (in hopefully an year - gives me roughly three days for each book), review it as honestly as possible and not overthink about my crushed heart. :P
What I expect out of this is to find my love for books again and fall deeper into the wisdom of these weirdly beautiful things I first picked up years ago. I hope this turns out to be fruitful and someone somewhere feels good when they read this! Love, ARS x
