Roman "Princey" Sanders was not okay, and he wasn't entirely sure he ever had been. What with all the insults, being the butt of jokes, the hate from the fandom, the hidden hate from other sides, who could blame him for feeling this way? Maybe one day he'd be better. Feel better. Be more loved. But that day was not today. //WARNING: Triggering content ahead! Descriptions of self harm, self hatred, and crying!

Self-harm was more than slices on your wrist, or bruises, or burns. For Roman, it was getting yourself in trouble on purpose, or being cruel to others in hopes that they'd hate you. Because he deserved it, didn't he?

Roman never deserved his prince costume anyway. He was too selfish, too arrogant, too idiotic. Those weren't the makings of a prince, they were villain characteristics. Glancing at the offending clothes, he made a decision. He didn't deserve the costume; it was time to destroy it.

The gang meets up to discuss what happened during 'putting others first'. things get a little heated after roman realizes they want him to apologize. (gets a bit dark, uploaded form ao3)

Roman finds Virgil and Patton gossiping about him and calling him a narcissist. Roman then runs away crying and turns into Pride and sets everything in sight on fire. Then Remus comes and try's to make him normal again. Roman lashes out, but Remus has powers too and he uses his powers to put Roman in the sides dungeon until Pride gives Roman control again. Roman Prince is a troubled child. He grew up with walls that kept him in for so long that he built his own walls to keep other people out. His walls were guarded with insults and rudeness because he had to keep others away for fear of what would happen if he let them in. However, Roman meets another student at his school: Virgil. Virgil wants to help Roman. Roman doesn't understand this at all, but he couldn't seem to fight Virgil away. How could this emo possibly help what Roman's going through? Roman couldn't even begin to imagine.
