The story follows Natasha Romanoff and Steve Rogers as they try to rebuild their relationship, broken by a painful past. At the heart of the story is James, a two-year-old child who shifts every balance, forcing them both to choose between fear and love, duty and the longing to belong. When the great assassin Natasha Romanoff disappears with Steve Rogers, the avengers grow unsteady. It focuses on the formation and journey of new Avengers.
