On a cold February night in 1920, a young woman finds herself attempting suicide, due to the feeling that she does not belong in her family. Anna felt as though no one in her family understood her. She felt as though she was looked down upon for her frequent health issues and hospital visits. One moment she was stepping off of a bridge, only to be saved by an officer. The next moment, she found herself to be a patient at Dalldorf, a mental hospital. She did not remember a thing about her past.
