"You're impossible," Cassian huffed, betraying a flicker of a smile. Elara's grin was wider, her eyes sparkling like a pink sunset. "Maybe that's why you love me so much." +.~.~.~.+ Cassian is your typical broody history professor. He stares with the intensity of a thousand suns, does dramatic cloak swishes, and looks like an ex-army veteran because he is, but Elara doesn't know that. Elara is his coworker from the Council, the only one who thinks Cassian is a bit annoying rather than scary. She just so happened to come to the academy to protect Cassian on government orders after the previous Delegate had been murdered, and since Cassian is the Delegate-in-running, she has to make sure he's safe. So, she takes up the role of the Alchemy professor rather reluctantly. This is a classic slow-burn. They train together, tease eachother, sometimes secretly wish the other was with them. But of course, neither will admit that because otherwise, their students would have a field day. (Note: This story is a sort of fanfic/short insight of my main story that I am hoping to publish one day, so this might be a bit messy and first-draft type. I hope whoever is reading this will still enjoy it, though! -Wildcard)
