What if love doesn't have to be passionate to be real? In this story, two young people, Matthew and Ella, meet in a silence that isn't empty. They create a relationship that requires nothing more than their presence. No grand gestures, only an invisible connection that resonates in the silence between them. This story asks: can love be full even when it doesn't follow expectations? Can a person be close to another without having to prove anything?

It is the English translation of the Sokak Nöbetçileri book series written by Aslı Arslan and loved by many young people. Helin Aktan, who was severely injured in her childhood and was recruited into the team by Koza when she was only seventeen, is sent as an agent to the Street Sentries for her last mission. However, she is unaware that she will meet five people who are as injured as her on this path. She encounters a scene she does not expect or recognize; a family that grew up on the streets stands before her. Yankı who is the head and brain of family, Bartu who is strength and mercy of family, Lâl who is legs and silence of family, Twins Mutlu and Işık who are hands and colours of family. Realizing that she has lost her own identity with the pieces she sees in those people, Helin takes a brush in her hand and slowly begins to place herself in this painting. The love she has never known before and encounters for the first time awaits her in this painting. We are six adults, all over twenty. We are six children, all under ten. They were my first playmates, the beginning of my earliest childhood dreams and my first real joys. They had started to become every part of me, and I could no longer measure my gratitude to them. "Save your past; that child hasn't forgotten you. Restart the fire; ashes are the compass of your future." -Street Sentries "Forget your past, that child can no longer be saved; scatter your ashes, a new fire will destroy your future." -The Onlys "What will happen to your constantly shaking voice? Your constantly shaking hands and knees? Helin, what will I do with you?"

This is a poem when the narrator has some sad thoughts on his mind, and he tries to find away to not to think of them anymore. At first he set in his balcony and tries to breathe fresh air, but that isn't enough for him, so he walks through the forest and he goes to the riverbank, where the place is quite and more associated with nature, and then he remembers his beloved, and her picture is what makes those thoughts vanish and embark.

This is a short story I wrote in my English class for a competition. It got second in the class and I honestly didn't try too hard. With that being said, I don't think it's terribly amazing but apparently a lot of other people did. So enjoy!

Dan, a 17-year-old boy from a quiet small town, never thought he was different. With messy brown hair, green eyes hidden behind glasses, and a notebook full of sketches, his life was simple and predictable. But in one moment of chaos, everything changes. When he discovers that he has supernatural powers that allow him to control a strange blue energy, Dan finds himself drawn into a world he never knew existed. At the same time, a new student named Lilith appears at school - a beautiful girl with dark hair and mysterious blue eyes, who seems to know more about him than he knows about himself. As Dan delves deeper into his powers and Lilith's secrets, he discovers a truth that shakes his world - about his family, the quiet town he grew up in, and the special bond between them. "Hidden Powers" is a suspenseful and passionate story about an ordinary boy who discovers that he is part of something much bigger than himself, and the choices that will determine his fate and the fate of the people he loves.
