The Bronnie coffee shop AU where Ronnie is a barista (baristo?) and Brandon is a frequent customer. Super cheesy. No conflict. Just a lot of soft feelings on Christmas gay. (disclaimer: brandon and ronnie aren't ~uwu~romantic lovers irl, don't be a dick and believe so).

Just a little drabble that's been rolling around in my head. Set in the early early days before they were completely The Killers.

María del Toro left for a few weeks from her native Mexico with her best friend to go on vacation to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada; also known as the city of sin. Everything points to be the typical experience in the United States where casinos and gambling are the most relevant part of the visit to Nevada, but not everything that happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas. One night, due to works of destiny and a small accident Maria meets the person she would least expect to meet during her visit, 37-year-old rock star Brandon Flowers. Brandon is new to Ronnie, Dave and Mark's school so they take him under their wings. The only problem is that Brandon thinks Ronnie's a little cute...and they start falling in love in the enclosure of Brandon's treehouse.

Ronnie could tell you all the details about how he fell in love with the lead singer of a band he was once in, from the nights they had to the nights they didn't. He could tell you all of it. That band broke up in 2007. Ronnie figured that 10 years later, he would never see him again, especially not when he packed up his life and moved to a rural town in Utah.
