Pehli baarish is the story of Azhar Khan and Roop Ali. It's set in 1930's Lahore where the two unexpectedly collide and unanticipated feelings start to brew.
Azhar khan is a rich yet humble aristocrat who has always felt obliged to help his people unlike his politician father. He has recently returned from London and upon his father's request he has agreed to help his father's friend Ali Ahmed to retrieve his ancestral land and stay at his house until the time being but when he crosses paths with his beneficiaries daughter his stay at her house seems a bit risky.
She's everything he's not.
She's carefree and frisky, he's mature and serious.
She's loud and obnoxious, he's quite and charming.
She's unambitious and he's determined to make his own name.
And most importantly she's young.
Staying under the same roof as Roop Ali is seriously damaging to Azhar's ideologies and personal beliefs yet he somehow feels at ease when he's around her but when a challenging situation demands Azhar to make a decision that will change the course of both their lives only for the sake of his respect and Roop's honor, this unexpected companionship alters into a deep sense of hatred at the core with sweet profanities at the surface.
