It had been two years since everything with Prisoner Zero that Amy told her about when she showed up. The Doctor invites them on adventures, and eventually Violet ends up having feelings for the Doctor. (Big surprise there?!) What will Violet do when she realizes these feelings? The only guy in Violet's life that she can actually have (that isn't Rory, obviously, because he's taken by Amy) is a bow-tie wearing alien who doesn't do well with feelings himself.
