Inspired by the deepest love and subsequent loss of my life up to that point. Our song was Evangeline by Stephen Sanchez. And we would listen to 80s and 90s music for hours. Thus came the titular and reference names of the first poem. Writing these poems helped me work through everything that would come after us.
