After the events on Exegol- Rey is alone. She is struggling to adapt to life on her own, on Tattooine, and with the Resistance's New Republic. She can't help but feel separate from everyone else. Everyone else gladly accepts that the First Order is destroyed and Kylo Ren is dead- that Ben Solo is dead. A loss that she can't admit to herself she feels. Attempting to bury herself in her work, her spark of hope is ignited when an unbidden vision of Ben Solo appears, forcing her to confront her loss and do something about it.

Fix-it fic for the entire sequel trilogy. Non-canon-compliant by the second half of the first movie, very gay. This probably won't be for everyone because I have several VERY specific headcanons, which go extremely against Disney-canon. Also against most fanon. Be warned. Rey stays on Tatooine while the resistance tries to bring a new order to the galaxy. After the defeat of the First Order and the death of the man she loves, she is not sure what to do. This story will actually be made up of several short stories that take place after my re-writing of Star Wars The Last Jedi and will show what characters have been up to in since then. So after much debate with myself I have finally decided to write down what I think could, and highly likely won't happen but its fun to write anyway what will happen in the upcoming new Star Wars film. Rey is quickly hooked when her friends finally convinced her to go indoor rock climbing with her. It also may help that during the times she visits a lovely staff member, with a body built specifically to knock her off her feet, is there as well. Clearly her reasoning for going to the gym almost every evening is because of the workouts. Not that mysterious brick wall of a man that constantly catches her eye.
