The Doctor and Angel continue their travels through time and space by landing on the colony world MX-13. This base, referred to by its workers as the Nest, mines for precious metals with radiation powered drills. Little do the workers know that lurking under the base is another kind of nest. The Doctor and Angel soon discover radioactive wasp like aliens on the loose killing workers. The captain of the Nest refuses to shut down the drill though. Why is the captain so intent to keep drilling? And how many more people will die before the Doctor and Angel can convince him otherwise? It's the year 2020, and Lily has begun to figure out some of the secrets to her past. Will she figure out all of them?

Kate Smith had always thought her life was pretty normal. Her mom told her stories of an impossible man who had seen impossible things. A great Time War in which the whole of his planet and people were destroyed, time travel, space travel, and doing all that with the woman he loved. Typical story telling, right? Or at least she thought so, until she met the impossible man called the Doctor. The man her mother had fallen in love with before she loved her father. And when secret government organizations refuse to play nice, and horrors from others universes start seeping into their own, it's safe to say that it will be anything but smooth sailing.
