Roy mustang knows about her being pregnant with his child but, they're both worried about the war. So they both made a choice that changed their lives. That choice was a mistake. Riza Hawkeye has been loyal to her Colonel since he was her fathers apprentice. Though both have feelings for each other, neither of them is brave enough to admit it. One night, at a work party, they both have too much to drink. One thing leads to another, and then the morning comes and they are in each other's arms. Desperate to keep that night a secret from their peers, they vow never to speak of it again. A few weeks later, Riza finds out that she's pregnant!...with the Colonels baby. She can't tell Roy, or anyone, so she packs up and moves South secretly. Roy is devastated at Riza's sudden departure. He spend all of his extra time on tracking down his Queen. But Riza has hidden well, and Roy can't find her. He falls into a deep depression. ---------------------------------------------------------- The phone starts to ring. Kallie is sitting in her high chair in front of the fan, her short black hair waving. It reminds me of a flame. I pick up the phone. "Hello?" "Riza? Is that you?" "Jean?! How did you find this number?" "Your grandfather gave it to me." "What do you want? This number is only for emergencies so you'd better have a good excus-" "Riza, Roy tried to kill himself. This story makes the most sense when reader has completed Fullmetal Alchemist or Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Just drabble about the most beautiful couple on the planet. These two are pretty much all I daydream about, so it's pretty easy to come up with ideas... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All characters (except for OCs) belong to Hiromu Arakawa, the amazing creator of Fullmetal Alchemist. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Also, to people who follow me for Nightfall and haven't watched Fullmetal Alchemist, don't feel obliged to read this. This is just sprouted from an idea I got in the middle of the night and decided to put it to action.

If alchemists live by the concept of Equivalent Exchange, it seems only natural that Roy Mustang must replace what he has destroyed. Lust!Roy

A solemn but hopeful reconnection between to two soldiers compacted into a short but sweet story about their relationships. It's not too sad or dark though, I added an element of humour. Author's note: My narratives I feel are very canonically based stories with thorough research into characterisation and relationships. It was a long and detailed project despite being one part. Personally, I really am a sucker for my subjective interpretation of their relationship as 'more than friends' but 'less than lovers'.😍 So I focused on that this story despite my burning desire to ship them and smash their heads for a smooch🤣. Hence, I believe non shippers who are just fans of FMA and FMAB can really enjoy this one too. I wanted to express the humanity of the characters as dimensional as possible, while including subtle input of philosophy which follows the psyche of war veterans since I feel it is something people should engrave into their heart and never forget. I'm still a student who writes for practice and seeks advice. Please let me know for any feedback of sort whether regarding philosophical ideas, or literal grammar etc, but refrain from hate speech or criticism.
