Georgia lives in New York City with her dad, when one day he tells her they're moving. Moving to the Outer Banks. The move is a big change for Georgia, who is used to the fast-paced city life. Desperate to get back at her father and find some entertainment on an island that seems empty to her, she meets and quickly befriends a group of kids who call themselves "The Pogues". They are unlike anyone she has ever met in the city, with their laid-back attitude and adventurous spirit. JJ, John B, Kiara, and Pope eventually let Georgia in on their hunt for a legendary treasure rumored to be hidden somewhere in the Outer Banks, the gold from the Royal Merchant.
