She had moved into this new town with her mom to start new. Also, her mom was a doctor so she was almost never home. Sapphire didn't mind, because the time they did spend together made up for it. I'm talking about take out Chinese and watching movies on pirate websites. Ruby is the stand out gem. She's buff, butch, you can tell my looking at her that you don't want to mess around with her. But if you take a close look-she's a midget. Aka she's hard to be taken seriously. Besides the fact that she's the size of a smurf (a/n not really lmao) she was super popular and well-liked. She even had a loving girlfriend. Morganite. Things haven't been going to steady though... When Sapphire moves into town, she immediately noticed Ruby. Ruby and Sapphire are in high school. Ruby's attractive, strong, and cool but has a few anger issues. She pretty much rules the school. On the other hand, Sapphire normally goes unnoticed by everyone but Peridot, Pearl, and Rose Quartz. Ruby's friends with everyone but her best friends are Jasper, Lapis, and Amethyst. (Human AU) Sort of like Romeo and Juliet without the crazy death story. (I have to admit, not my best work, but when you're bored you just gotta write random things and hope it works.)

Peridot is a gem that wants a warrior and fight with the rebellion. Her weapon is a sword that was given to her by her parents. She also has magical powers(such as element powers, summoning, etc. I'll explain more later on in the story) that was given by her father. Ruby is Peridot's friend who tags along with her adventure. She too is in training and has magical fire powers Since they were in Homeworld, gems were treated differently. The poor gems would be useless and not treated fair, higher gems would have most of the power, and those who are lower class use their powers would be punished by them. So Peridot and Ruby were told to keep their powers hidden. But they would were taught by an mysterious lady in the forest everyday. Learning how to control their powers. Years passed and now both were sent on secure the are in the forest. With both Peridot's and Ruby's lack of magic skills they get chase by a horde of Gem Mutants.
