This story takes place after the end of In The Afterlight that left me simultaneously sobbing and in love with every single person in the story! This book ended spectacularly, but I was still curious as to how Liam and Ruby (along with their friends) survived a "normal" world. Credits to the wonderful Alexandra Bracken for her beautiful characters and story! I'm just a fan that would like to live out the unwritten story that comes at the end of the book.

This is Ruby's first year attending band camp at Howard University in Washington D.C. The first person she meets is Liam, who she quickly befriends, along with the rest of the gang: Chubs, Vida, and Zu.
