This story takes place after the end of In The Afterlight that left me simultaneously sobbing and in love with every single person in the story! This book ended spectacularly, but I was still curious as to how Liam and Ruby (along with their friends) survived a "normal" world. Credits to the wonderful Alexandra Bracken for her beautiful characters and story! I'm just a fan that would like to live out the unwritten story that comes at the end of the book.

As I have become obsessed(more like re-obssesed) with this series and had a lot of idea's for one shots I could write about The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. I've already written two in my other book/another miscellaneous work of mostly crap so I'll include them here as well. I started writing an I guess fanfic about Ruby and her tragic life after everything. This story is before the Darkest Legacy after Into the Afterlight. This is how Ruby deals with everything.
