Poor German immigrants are commissioned to help build a new home for the Gillis family after it had tragically burned down. One of the boys happened to be the same age as Anne, Diane, Ruby and the other children of Avonlea.

What if Gilbert never ran into Diana and Anne never ran into Winifred, thus both are unaware of the other's feelings? In this alternate universe, Anne creates a tragic tale of romance based on this chapter of her life to cope with all her emotions. In the library one day, Anne and Diana run into Diana's childhood friend, Royal Gardner, a charming young man who happens to be the son of a publisher. "When one book is finished, open another. It's an adventure that will end in tragedy or happiness, but an adventure nonetheless." This is based on Netflix's and CBC's "Anne with an 'E'," and the book series "Anne of Green Gables" by Lucy Maud Montgomery.

Gilbert is head over heels for anne and everyone can tell, except for her, of course. She thinks she hates him as much as ever, but little does she know those feelings are starting to wear off, and they have been ever since he saved her in the pond when her boat started leaking.

The white rose or Paris saw the world through a gold-tinted glasses of her privileged life, and when she came face to face with the plain wildflower of Avonlea, the peculiar Anne of Green Gables, her frame of mind developed into one of poetry and beauty.

On everyone's 16th birthday, they get a symbol somewhere on their body who links them to their soulmate. Anne finally turns 16 and gets her symbol. Gilbert places the record carefully on the player and the music begins to fill the room. "This song holds a very special place in my heart." He whispers. The beautiful tune of the music gives Anne chills, this song is special to her too but for different reasons. Before she could say anything, she looks up to see Gilbert standing in front of her with his hand out. "May I have this dance?"

She immediately panics as she realized she has no recollection of her past life other then 2 things, one, she is a huge fan of the show so she knows the plot line well, and two, she loves having bows in her hair. With no way back to her original world, how will she go on as Ruby?! With sass of course.
