Rouldolph's son, Dawn is next in line to lead the sleigh team when one day while out training, Dawn accidentally catches the attention of a pack of wolves which causes deer to get attacked, injured, and a fawn named Elliot killed...who happens to be the daughter of Kramp, a brash, power hungry reindeer who's despised Dawn and his father since they were born and seizes the opportunity to kill Dawn under the guise of avenging Elliot. However Dawn, with the help of his father manages to escape but soon must travel alone as Rouldolph gets shot while they ran across a hunting reserve during the escape. Dawn soon ends up in the company of a talking gingerbread man named Cane and an elf named Abe who travel town to town and agrees to be part of their group as their steed. Two years later however, his younger sister Eliza tells him that Kramp has just been promoted to leader of the team after Breech (the deer that replaced Rouldolph after his death) has died due to an illness, had created a tyranny as soon as he gained power, with Santa being taken away to some a far off prison when he couldn't reason with him, and seemingly every elf is at his side. She believes him to be the best one to challenge him due to the stories being told about him and his strength that she heard of due to having to go father out for a decent amount of food. After some convincing from the town that they are currently staying at, Ave, Eliza, and Cane that they'll come with him and help, he decides to go home and take him on.

Timothy, an unadoptable orphan who has never had a wish come true, receives the gift of a lifetime when given the chance to play the countdown to Christmas with three elves who are cursed to disappear forever on the twenty-fifth. The mischievous elves are wanted all over the world. Krampus employs their cousin, Jack Frost, to find and bring them back so they can receive their punishment. Rudolph doesn't really like them either. Neither do all the other reindeers. With these in mind, the three elves struggle with doing good deeds, hoping to beat the twisted ways of the Calendar of Doom by Christmas night.

Rudolph is absent for the day, and Tobias tries his best to cope, but he's not very good at this.
