Winner of OS Competition. Written for an OS Competition on TellyUpdates. #one-shot Story Theme/ Challenge A highly ambitious Rudra, returns from London, after 7 long years, wishing to become a C. E. O. of a top notched multinational company, ASPIRE. He returns to his ancestral home with plans of selling the property to earn millions, so that he can invest into his career, where in he meets up his childhood crush, Saumya Kapoor who is street smart, beautiful and extremely talented. But she is an extreme family person, and hence never left her family to settle elsewhere. Rudra was never able to confess his love for Saumya. Saumya was also his senior by 2 years. Saumya did like Rudra secretly but never told him as she felt it would be embarrassing to propose a guy who was younger to her. Meanwhile, during his trip around his village, he lands up in front of a huge palatial mansion. Upon enquiring, he realises that this was a property of his school crush, Bhavya. He had loved both Saumya and Bhavya equally, until he left for London after his higher secondary. Bhavya was a girl of extreme confidence. She was independent, elegant, graceful and the sole owner of DESIRE. Both ASPIRE and DESIRE worked hand in hand owned by the Pratap siblings. Bhavya never liked Saumya's concern for Rudra. And she used to be extremely jealous when Rudra spoke to Saumya, the reason being Saumya was more loved by everyone. Rudra was UNWARE of both of them liking him.

Gauri Sharma's future was decided by her family when she barely knew how to walk. The way she dresses, the way she talked and the career she should take up was intricately planned. Little did she know that she would be deprived of the right to choose whom she married too. She comes from a respectable , orthodox family in Bareilly, raised by her grandmother since her mother died giving birth to her. Despite her strict upbringing she dared to go against the family when she opted for a career which wasn't decided for her. Unbelievably, her father also let her go against his order without much fight, making her momentarily happy. Alas, she did not know the agenda behind the agreement. Shakti Sharma being the Village surpanch is well repected for his goodness and his discipline.One thing he wouldn't back out on, is a promise to a friend. Nothing can stop him from following his word. Not his own mother nor his daughter's future. Like every "good Indian girl" Gauri bows her head to her family's prestige and father's word but will she be happy with someone whom she didn't get to choose?? What do you think will follow when Gauri meets the Angry young Oberoi who is known for his righteousness in college. He is a brilliant student for his elder brother, a guiding hand for his younger one but for his Daadi, he remains the most wicked amongst his brothers. Will the Oberoi she is betrothed to make her fall for him...? If so, how does he plan to do that.
