Vikings and Dragons, at war. Two Brothers trying to prove themselves as Vikings to be a part of their village, well one is the other could care less. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III and his brother Floki Rienne Haddock V are seen as embarrassments around Berk, Hiccup being a disastrous klutz and Floki being a coward, Death Seeking, Shame to his family, Crazy Nut, and worst of all, a Dragon loving fool. Finally being able to prove that they are Vikings Hiccup and Floki attend Dragon Training to learn how to kill dragons. Hiccup doubts his and the people of Berk's views on how they feel about dragons and Floki having his own secrets. The two will have to adapt to everything they learn and keep it a secret from others. Eighteen year old Hayden "Hiccup" Haddock has had enough of, well everyone. After his accident three years ago, leaving him with only one leg, and his parents leaving home almost full time for their "dream jobs", Hiccup is left alone in the dust, left only with his pet. Everything changes when a new girl, Astrid Hofferson comes to town, and starts attending Hiccup's school. Maybe someone can finally break Hiccup's shell, show him he means something to someone. Maybe someone can break Astrid out of her shell, show her some much needed attention and love. Maybe they can both find it, but from each other? Hm, according to these two, unlikely.

A rider wearing a hood rode on a dragon. Following the Dragon Riders from Berk. Her Whistlewing was riding on a gust of wind, her wings straight and true. Gray and white scales on its body almost made the dragon vanish into the clouds. The wingtips had several patches of bluish green and black. The wind died down, no longer hiding the low whistle caused by the Whistlewing. One of the riders riding the Zippleback glanced up, easily spotting the wing markings. The leader, who was none other than Hiccup Haddock, raised his eyes, and his Night Fury locked eyes with both the rider and her Whistlewing. "So much for being subtle." The rider mumbled. Time to find out whether Whistlewing can outfly a Night Fury, Deadly Nadder, Zippleback, Monstrous Nightmare, and a Gronkle. Oh, Thor.

Mari is nervous if some people will try to hunt her, so she keeps her dragon self secret. At the same time Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III shoots her and another Night Fury down on accident, and wants to tell Mari about it. Though each time he tries to show her, she always has to run off. Surely Mari and the female Night Fury couldn't be the same dragon girl...... could they? Can Mari trust Hiccup with her secret? What lies ahead of Marinara and Hiccup?

Everyone on Berk mourns once a year on their birthday although this year they're unable to due to the largest threat they've ever faced coming at Berk, Grimmel The Grisly has struck once again and is attempting to kill all dragons. Especially Night Furies. Hiccup Haddock attempts to fight Grimmel although fails miserably, he gets Toothless kidnapped in the process and will most likely end up having his dragon killed. When Toothless is gone he realizes the dragons are too, but for what reason? Will Hiccup figure out why the dragons of Berk are gone? Will he find out why exactly Toothless has not been hurt?
