The darkling and Alina are readying for the final battle in the fold, when the darkling's use of merzost results in something impossible. He forces something, that isn't meant to exist, into reality. A girl from two decades into the future. This is not a self insert and let's just say the girl and the darkling's relationship is not romantic. In fact, she's got another kind of relation to him. An alternate ending to Ruin and Rising. Alina's power, instead of creating new Sun Summoners, goes into the Darkling and burns out his power. Both of them are left powerless, and Mal stays dead. Alina takes the Darkling to Novyi Zem. This might just be a couple of chapters, but I might add to it later. This isn't going to be romantic Darklina, just plantonic. Eventually I'll write a real description for this, but until then the best I can describe it is as a Zoyalai wedding and lots of crows chaos. (: (I'm also well aware of the fact that this is very stereotypical fanfiction, but in my defense I plotted it out over a year before I started writing and there are definitely some aspects that I've grown to dislike as I've continued writing, but I think that's pretty normal lmao) Enjoy!

Aleksander didn't expect their tether to be so strong. He is drawn to her and he just doesn't want to resist this pull, he had already waited long enough to find her. Or: What if Baghra hadn't come to rescue her? Not the common smut where they fuck after he comes back to her. There's plenty of that. I mean, no one ever thought that she could find out about Marie's death? Little fluff (to much fluff for the Darkling's mind). The story will go deeper in the explanation of their bond (there will be telepathy), and a grey, maybe a little OOC, Alina. What if the darkling had won? What if the fold was destroyed, and Alina did claim the third amplifier? What if Mal came back to life? Though more sun summoners rose to fight with Alina, victory was not secured. Yes, they destroyed the fold, but they were still not enough to kill the darkling. After all, no one can deny the throne suits him well..... and that Darkness Will Always Triumph 🌓( this is an alternative ending to Ruin and Rising )🌗 (started before King of Stars)
