Until one day, the Darkling discovers this and is furious. Her punishment surprises everyone. Meanwhile, the Grisha have started to create their own settlement in the area of the Fold, Shu Han and Fjerda remain threats at large, and the Darkling may not be as dead as expected. A story about the impossibility of maintaining happiness without struggle, the risk-reward ratio of desire, and the nature of equality.
