Diabolik Lovers Change of Destiny Book One. Synopsis: A medicine by scientists goes array from a fault, creating a virus that turns humans into the walking dead. The day everything changed for the youngest daughter of the now deceased politician, Yuki Hayashi. She lost both her parents that day, including Miko, her eldest sister who sacrificed herself for Yuki to escape the lab to live on, Yuki vows to return to reverse the virus. She has been on her own for days but when the food supply runs out she goes in search and stumbles across a manor. The same manor unbeknownst to her Yui Komori is in with 12 hot vampires. Yuki meets the Sakamakis, Mukamis and Tsukinamis and tries to leave only to find Yui slowly dying. A typical high school setting at least, that's what it seems. Students worry about exams, friendships, and after-school activities. Hidden from human eyes, vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings live among them, blending into everyday life. Yui Komori is just another student trying to get through her school days with a smile. She's kind, cheerful, and always willing to help others. So why does everyone keep saying something feels... off? Maybe it's nothing. Maybe Yui is just tired. Or maybe something is happening to her that nobody has noticed yet. Or is it normal or not?

Abandoned as a baby Sayaka Shiro grew up in an orphanage where she was abused by the adults and bullied by the other children. After all of the abuse and harassment she went through she became closed off and had little care for social interaction. After getting adopted by a seemingly nice family she thinks that everything will be okay but she was wrong. Her new family was just as abusive as the people at the orphanage. One day she decides to run away but passes out in the snow from exhaustion. When she wakes up she's in a room full of unfamiliar faces. Will this encounter only bring more pain?

One day Hikaru went deep into the forest, his grandparents forbid it, but he wouldn't listen. There he found a cave, going inside he ended up in a big city, it was a portal between the human world and that of the vampire's "Who are you?" A boy with beautiful white long hair asked him. They became friends, they always meet each other at the gates of the portal and play in each other's worlds. They fall in love... until the boy didn't show up anymore. Hikaru's first heartbreak Four years later, on his eighteenth birthday he went into the forest, he was at his old treehouse. He heard a voice of a small girl. "Brother..." "Find me..." The voice sounded so close and with instincts Hikaru ran after the voice "Wait! Where are you?!" After running for half an hour he fell down on his knees panting. The wind blew in his raven hair. "Who are you?"
