Historias de Rurouni

Introducing a new character to the Rurouni Kenshin series. This series obviously focuses more on Sanosuke. I have updated all chapters 2/13/12 and fixed tense problems. Please let me know what you think.

The long road traveled is the road a traveler learns the most. Kenshin Himura suddenly disappears from the Kamiya dojo, leaving Kaoru Kamiya alone. Feeling abandoned, Kaoru discovers another way to get him back. She travels on a journey to help herself find the closure she needs to become Kenshin's equal.

His story after his fight with Himura Kenshin. He's meant to go off and discover the truth for himself, but how can he when others are seeking to force him back in the life he's trying to leave behind? Can an orphaned girl he meets change his view of how he sees the weak? (Not a love story)

I noticed that there are not that many FANFICS for rurouni kenshin. So I decided to write one. The gang meets a girl named Shizuka. Her life is a whole mystery and dangerous for some reason. Shizuka has tried to solve the danger, but she has been alone in this fight and fails every time. She is losing hope.

A/N: This story was set after the last episode of Rurouni Kenshin's second season (after Kenshin beat Shishio and went back to the Kamiya dojo). Let's pretend that the whole Season 3 and all the rest [OVA / movie] didn't happen (except for the Trust and Betrayal OVA [Tomoe's story]) but Kenshingumi already knew about the whole Tomoe affair. This story mentions lots of Japanese stuff and I also made use of some Japanese words. The words and their meanings/definitions are listed in alphabetical order at the end of each chapter. ^_^ Please pardon any spelling and grammatical errors. I don't have beta readers. Though I try to review things before I post them, there are still a lot that I tend to miss. Feel free to point it out.
