The story of Grand Princess Olga of Kyiv, probably one of the most controversial saints ever. Olga spends her early life like most girls and is unaware of her princely linage. But she eventually finds out, and decides that she is destined to become a princess. She soon catches the eye of the Prince Igor, and he marries her for her northern connections. Olga now has to make her way through the turbulent court, so different from the small village she grew up in. Being one of the four wives of the prince, she eventually prevails over her rivals, and bears the prince his long awaited son. However, when her son is still a child, Olga unexpectedly finds herself widowed and at the mercy of the Kievan Rus' many feuding princes. She will do whatever it takes to survive, and to hold on to power for her son. Based on both historical record and legends, this is the story of Saint Olga of Kyiv.
