"There once was a time where Russia was beautiful. Where it glittered with crown jewels and dazzling parties full of my family and friends. Before people turned ugly and damned themselves for what they did to my son and his children. Now it is nothing: an empty husk of a December night's dream." "You're very poetic, Your Majesty, but I still must ask. Why are we here?" "Because I believe that somewhere out there, my granddaughter is alive." It was safe to say that Dmitri hated St Petersburg- now Leningrad- with a burning passion. His whole life had been spent crammed inside the once-royal city amongst the lowest of the lows and he was ready to escape. All he wanted was a big- no, a comfortable home with a large garden, surrounded by hot food and a warm bath. It seemed almost impossible. Almost. When a rumour starts seeping through the cracks and back alleys of Petersburg, Dmitri and an ex-count team up with an unusual, amnesiac girl to snatch a wealthy reward and get out of Russia for good. Of course, absolutely nothing goes to plan. A collection of the 1997 animated film 'Anastasia' and 2017 Broadway production of the movie, plus some of my own things to make it historically accurate :) All credit to the original creators.

🏅"Best Conflict" -Tricolor Triennial Awards/ Phase 2(2020) Synopsis An ancient artifact has arisen within our history books -- The Grey Dagger. Where it came from, we don't know... until now. What will the legacy that 4 characters from 4 different timelines have to offer? Reader Reviews "Love all the names and your English is spot on!" -darkblonde1 "I appreciate writers who write about the times that they don't live in like you cause it it requires the knowledge about those times to make the story more real." - NieznanaZnana "Great job, love the story-line and plot so far, I think that this is gonna be very good, Very creative to if I do say so myself, it reminds me of the Roman army, though I'm not sure if that's the point or not, I like the way you were very descriptive, keep up the good work!" -Goatwhiskers "I like that ur book is historic. It's different from other books I read." -Purplestar137 "Well done! Historical genre isn't really my taste but this chapter really caught my attention. I'll keep on reading this" - Maryum_21 "I can picture that perfectly!" -keralee123 "The theme seems attractive, I like it :) " - EzmiaSight "This is giving me a prince of Persia vibe lol kinda... but this is a great start. The intro is straight to the point." - AymenJouini6

The year is 1917. The Great War has engulfed Europe and Asia, and all the major powers are at war. Russia is turbulent and violent; food is running low, supplies are vanishing, and young men are being killed in battle. The people are angry and their hatred is directed at one man: Tsar Nicholas II. In the midst of the worst war the world has seen before, Tsar Nicholas Romanov is trying desperately to cling to the vanishing strands of control he had over Russia, the same control his family has had for the last three hundred years. But with foreign nations, the nobles, and the people waging war against him, Nicholas must manage to keep him and his family safe and alive. A fictional account of the final years of the Romanov family and the final years of the Imperial Russian monarchy before the upheaval of the Russian Revolution, the story of the struggling Romanov family and their close household servants showcases how family ties, loyalty, and hope are too strong to relinquish even in the face of tragedy.

Dancing bears, painted wings, things I almost remember and a song someone sings, once upon a December. It's 1906 in St.Petersburg, the world is alive and the Grand Duchess is only 5, a shared look between her grandmother, a knowing smile, a cry of longing and a music box, their little secret. She's leaving for Paris without Anastasia. It's 1917, Anastasia is 16, adored by everyone, the youngest of the Tsar's daughters and she is the picture of beauty. That is until the Bolsheviks attack the palace and the royals are taken to Ipatiev house in Yekaterinburg. They are never seen again. It's 1918, the Romanov family are woken during the night and told to dress, they are being moved to a safer location. They walk down to the cellar of the Ipatiev house, awaiting the arrival of their transport. It never came. They were executed right there in the cellar, no Romanov was left alive. It's 1927, and there's a rumour in St. Petersburg. Although the Tsar did not survive, one daughter may be still alive, the Princess Anastasia, but please do not repeat. This is the companion novel to the 2017 Broadway musical, giving insights to the story, and telling a much darker, historical twist to the enchanting tale. This may include references and implications to the 1997 original movie

Anarchy. A swirl of topics: emotions, allusions to history, social issues... And somewhere in the maelstrom comes forth rhymes and prose. Note: If you can't be bothered to read all the poems (quite understandably), I've starred the better ones.

I'm a history nerd and I need something to post when I don't have a work or art, so I figured I'd do something I love: history. I'll basically just say some facts about events in history, and will include a bibliography if you want to learn more. - Disclaimed: this will contain possibly triggering topics. You can probably deduct what might be in here by both a basic knowledge of history and what's in the title of the chapter. Please be cautious or just don't read if these may trigger you. As always, proceed with caution on the internet.

Holly Lancewood was just your typical American teenage girl, average grades, average looks, average life. There was nothing special about her at all-at least until that day. Do you believe in reincarnation? The existence of souls? Of heaven? Of God? Holly didn't want to, really. She didn't ask for any of this at all. In fact, she was perfectly content being just average. No one however bothered to ask her for her opinion before dumping her into a body she most definitely did not want. What she did want to do, was box the living daylights out of whoever it was that got the brilliant idea of dumping her in the late 18th century; during the Russian Revolution of all the bloody places to be. On the bright side, at least she wasn't dumped into the middle of World War I or II, but then again, World War I did start in 1914 which was but a few decades from then. Then there was also the Napoleon Wars to consider that also occured within that timeframe. Of course, there was no use thinking about wars yet to come. The first thing she had to do was ensure her own survival. As one of the most famous princesses in history-Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanova, youngest daughter of the Tsar and the one of the greatest mysteries of the 20th century. Also- Doomed to die with her entire family by the Bolsheviks... Yeah, no thanks.
