St. Petersburg, 2025. When a time machine is stolen by the brilliant and dangerous Dimitri Reznikov, university student Alexei Serovarin follows his mentor into the winter of 1916. Disguised as a wounded Imperial officer, Alexei infiltrates the world of the Romanovs to stop history from being rewritten. But the closer he grows to Grand Duchess Tatiana Nikolaevna, the harder it becomes to remember why he came. Some timelines are meant to be preserved. Others are worth destroying for love.

This story follows the life of Oscar Otter, a Russian soldier during WWI as he observes and takes part in many of the events that made Russia what it is today. Oscar watches as the Tiger is dethroned and is replaced by Moon as the animals of Russia try and figure out how to save themselves from their terrible mess. When it comes down to it Oscar wonders: was it all worth it? Disclaimer: This is a project that I did for my World History class that my friend said I should publish. I am still working on fine-tuning it and have yet to edit it very thoroughly. I will also be working on expanding the story more. The assignment was to write a fable about what happened in a revolution of our choice and I chose the Russian Revolution. It was required to be a minimum of 2,000 words and mine ended up being more than 12,000.

Dancing bears, painted wings, things I almost remember and a song someone sings, once upon a December. It's 1906 in St.Petersburg, the world is alive and the Grand Duchess is only 5, a shared look between her grandmother, a knowing smile, a cry of longing and a music box, their little secret. She's leaving for Paris without Anastasia. It's 1917, Anastasia is 16, adored by everyone, the youngest of the Tsar's daughters and she is the picture of beauty. That is until the Bolsheviks attack the palace and the royals are taken to Ipatiev house in Yekaterinburg. They are never seen again. It's 1918, the Romanov family are woken during the night and told to dress, they are being moved to a safer location. They walk down to the cellar of the Ipatiev house, awaiting the arrival of their transport. It never came. They were executed right there in the cellar, no Romanov was left alive. It's 1927, and there's a rumour in St. Petersburg. Although the Tsar did not survive, one daughter may be still alive, the Princess Anastasia, but please do not repeat. This is the companion novel to the 2017 Broadway musical, giving insights to the story, and telling a much darker, historical twist to the enchanting tale. That trust is a fragile thing, easily shattered beneath careless hands. That love, though sweet as nectar, will rot away with time. That hope, no matter how bright it shines, will sputter out and die. The darkness consumes this being, taints it until feathers of pure white melt into feathers of the deepest abyss. In the midst of the worst war the world has seen before, Tsar Nicholas Romanov is trying desperately to cling to the vanishing strands of control he had over Russia, the same control his family has had for the last three hundred years. But with foreign nations, the nobles, and the people waging war against him, Nicholas must manage to keep him and his family safe and alive. A fictional account of the final years of the Romanov family and the final years of the Imperial Russian monarchy before the upheaval of the Russian Revolution, the story of the struggling Romanov family and their close household servants showcases how family ties, loyalty, and hope are too strong to relinquish even in the face of tragedy.

I'm a history nerd and I need something to post when I don't have a work or art, so I figured I'd do something I love: history. I'll basically just say some facts about events in history, and will include a bibliography if you want to learn more. - Disclaimed: this will contain possibly triggering topics. The first thing she had to do was ensure her own survival. As one of the most famous princesses in history-Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanova, youngest daughter of the Tsar and the one of the greatest mysteries of the 20th century. Also- Doomed to die with her entire family by the Bolsheviks... Yeah, no thanks.
