The pup Ryder found was a golden retriever who has the ability to cast spells and performer magical actions. When Pixie gets pick for every mission(because she can do anything and everything), the pups lost hopes in their owner. With Skye and Everest as their leader, the rest of the paw patrol plans to take Pixie down and on their way, they unearth the dark side to the sweet, loving golden retriever. When Pixie overheard them talking about their findings, she steps up and decide to bury the mystery so far that even the pups know it will be brought down with it. She casts a daring spell and put all of the other pups in their worst nightmares and they will only wake up after Ryder realizes that he needs them as much as he needs Pixie.
