Ryland Grace survived Project Hail Mary and somehow that was only the beginning of his story. Five years after Project Hail Mary, Ryland Grace has built a quiet life on Erid spending time with Rocky, Adrian and his students. Then a ship crashes onto the planet carrying a human-like alien explorer with secrets of her own. As Ryland is pulled back toward Earth, buried truths about the Hail Mary mission begin to surface and the connection growing between him and Senita may cost them both everything. Roped into Project Hail Mary to draw the scientists' findings throughout the project, she finds joy in creating art of something that'll save the world. ✩ ✩ ✩ When the original plan for the Hail Mary mission goes terribly wrong, the leader of the operation, Eva Stratt, has no choice but to send the next best people up into space on this one way trip to save the Earth. Of course they need a scientist up on the space craft, someone to analyse and make understanding of the crisis at hand. She also wants more than video logs and photographs of what goes on on the Hail Mary, sketch logs and detailed observations are highly valued when dealing with new scientific discoveries and materials. After an astrophage experiment goes catastrophically wrong and tears a fracture through reality, Ryland Grace and his Eridian companion Rocky are thrown into an alternate universe aboard a damaged ship trapped inside a collapsing wormhole. There, they meet Mark, a frazzled engineer desperately keeping the vessel alive, and the ship's Captain-an unsettling presence with no name, no recorded identity, and a face no one can clearly perceive, yet treated by the entire crew as if nothing is unusual at all. The warpcore is missing, lost somewhere deep within the wormhole, and without it, the ship will not survive. With no other options, Grace and Rocky join Mark in a desperate mission to recover it, while the Captain moves separately through the distortion, appearing only in fragments along their path before vanishing again into the chaos ahead. But as reality begins to fracture around them, Grace notices something impossible: the universe seems to behave differently when the Captain is present... and choices appear where none should exist. Ryland Grace knew three things at this current moment. Hopefully that would improve. One: he was on a spaceship. Two: he did not know why. Three: the woman in the medical bay where he had woken up was alive, and for reasons his brain could not provide, that mattered more than everything else. *** I usually don't post my work, but I just wanted to try it out. Terrible at writing descriptions.

I just wanted to dabble in this ship since it's the first in years that doesn't make me cringe and regret ever being in a fandom! Now, I have no clue where to go with this so I'm on much of a ride as you, enjoy!

Ironmary. Takes place years after grace and Simon start living on Erid. It switches perspectives between The characters. Ryland is older than Simon by a few years

When The Hail Mary is sucked through a wormhole on its way to Tau Ceti, they come across some unlikely hero's. Till she's thrown into a rag tag group of superhero's and a lost scientist with a pet rock, her patience is tested and faith in the force becomes weary. or or During a boring day in the vast of space, the guardians rest and relax after their heavy work in the galaxy. Until they see worm holes spit out two unsuspecting victims and they become the safe haven for two very confused and very different people. With the addition of the multiverse in the back of their mind, they help the lost stragglers find their way home.
