"Hmm, yeah, yeah, sure. Well, see you later, when you lose." Mahiru called out as he turned around and started to leave. "Tsk, I'll show you." Arai said under his breath, getting in position to throw the ball up and serve.

He was obviously enrolled for his tennis abilities, not his academic performance. That's for sure. He's loud, obnoxious, rude, and bratty. But ask his team mates from middle school, and they'll tell you that he's also funny, sarcastic, brave, and resolute. In his first year of high school, he learns that everyone's a devil, and everyone's an angel, in their own way. Some people just have more demons than others. Oh, and, like Riko, he also finds that for once, he too HAS to pay attention in class. When their lives collide, literally, everyone around them can feel the sparks. Hopefully that part's not literal. It would be a shame for such a cold school to burn, anyways. Disclaimer in chapter 1.
