2 years after Seigaku tennis club won in the National games, Echizen Ryoma left Japan to America. Now first year in High school, he came back for one reason. What's the reason for him coming back? He can maybe manage a few lines of broken english (of course, he's mastered all the insults), and has scored above a C on a test once in his life. He was obviously enrolled for his tennis abilities, not his academic performance. That's for sure. He's loud, obnoxious, rude, and bratty. But ask his team mates from middle school, and they'll tell you that he's also funny, sarcastic, brave, and resolute. In his first year of high school, he learns that everyone's a devil, and everyone's an angel, in their own way. Some people just have more demons than others. Oh, and, like Riko, he also finds that for once, he too HAS to pay attention in class. When their lives collide, literally, everyone around them can feel the sparks.
