This is a oneshot. It was also written at 3 am after I decided that I wasn't content with the ending. Disclaimer: I don't own any character mentioned. Credits: Owner of the wonderful artwork and edit Arima Kousei played so he could reach her, did he?

I loved the anime and deeply connected with it and here I am lol. It got the ending it deserved, but obviously none of us were satisfied so here we go. Kousei Arima was hit by what he had just seen during his performance. He saw HER disappear and he was beyond devastes. she was gone. However he gets a surprise visit and learns Kaori had survived the surgery. She wasn't gone. But Kousei never gets the letter. He, along with Tsubaki and Watari, wait days for Kaori to recover and eventually visit her, with nothing being the same ever again The ending we all wanted, from yours truly

The Arimas and the Miyazonos. Two typical families from Japan who run a bakery and orphanage together. Their lives change forever when their son and daughter, Kousei and Kaori, come into the world. But then, someone leaves two children on the doorstep of the Arima/Miyazono Bakery and Orphanage. As Kousei becomes more isolated for health reasons, Kaori, Tsubaki and Watari grow up eye-poking, face slapping, and head-clunking their way towards their teenage life. Now, the bumbling trio of Kaori, Tsubaki, Watari, all pure of heart and dim of wit, find themselves on a madcap mission to save their bakery and orphanage from foreclosure. Can the Three Nerima Stooges survive the real world, raise the money and save the day? Why, soitenly! "They're so bad at being bad..... but so much worse at being GOOD!" ----- NOTE: This fic is meant to tell what would happen if Your Lie in April were more comedic (it's an Alternate Universe fic), and is based on the 2012 film adaptation of The Three Stooges (yes, I am aware Your Lie in April is a sad story, but this idea just came to me one day). Don't take this fic too seriously (and no rude/degrading comments about it), just have fun while reading it! It is also meant to be read as a theatrical film. But the fates have been reversed (and before you ask, Kousei is the ill one, not Kaori, who is far from that in this story), which will make for quite a gripping, if not heart-wrenching story, maybe more so than the original. ----- Please note, I do not write fanfics often, but I feel this is a story the needs to be told. She looked faded, blending into her surroundings, and each time Kousei blinked, she would flicker away for a moment, only to return back. As though she were desperate to stay where she wasn't meant to be. She smiled at him. "There you are. I've been waiting for you." Kousei couldn't breathe. - In which Kousei cannot say goodbye, clinging with everything he has to what little he has left.

Kaori should have died. So why? Why was she here, smiling at him, as if nothing ever happened? "Oh god." Ryota brought his hand to his mouth. He felt like he was going to pass out as he whispered out the words: "Kousei, what have you done?" - Desperation led humans to places only gods dared to cross. Ryota underestimated it all: the grief, the pain, and the yearning, until he comes face to face with what they should have left behind fifteen years ago.
