Senku (Alfa) tiene planificada su vida al 100%: entrar a la universidad, dedicarse a la ciencia y evitar el "estúpido e ineficiente drama de las parejas destinadas". Por su parte, Gen (Omega) se presenta como un tipo fresco y despreocupado al que nada parece afectarle. Un día, tras quedarse hasta tarde en la escuela compartiendo bebidas, una pequeña falla en el bloqueador de olor de Gen libera una dosis sutil de su aroma. Senku, que juraba ser inmune a las feromonas por puro autocontrol científico, sufre un despunte de instinto territorial jamás previsto. Toda su lógica cae "fuera de cálculo" cuando se da cuenta de que su cuerpo reconoce a Gen antes de que su cerebro pueda procesarlo.

(I wrote this at like 4am.) Senku and his team is searching for oil. The journey starts off nice and smoothly, but with the time things are getting worse. (There will be some angst, but I'll put a warning at the start of the chapter so dw!!)
