Rin thought that he didn't had no worth if he couldn't play soccer anymore, since he dedicated his whole life to it, also overcoming his sickness just to play, with that in his mind, he started to study a lot, wanting to be worth in something or maybe to show his parents that he matured and decided to center in his studies, Shidou, dropped out school before even entering blue lock just to help his grandma, but when he came back after being locked off, his grandma convinced him to go back to school so he could at least have a future, which Shidou accepted because he didn't wanted to worry her anymore.
