Forced out of their home, and leaving all their furnishings behind, the Goodners move in with friends. The children miss their home and furniture desperately and want nothing more than to return to them. Fatefully the eight Goodner children meet an old woman named Sabina who is a magician banished from her clan. Sabina uses her limited magic to put an enchantment on the children turning them into their beloved furniture at night. Disguised as furniture in their former home the children and Sabina attempt to frighten Mr. Quartermine and his wife away by playing tricks on them but in the meantime learn how diabolical the banker really is. How are the Goodner children with the help of Sabina going to get the most incredible house in Saba back?
