Title: The Journey of Zairah
Author's POV
Zairah Raza lived in a large joint family. She was the only daughter in the house, dearly loved by all. Her father, Khalil Raza, and mother, Shabina Raza, were part of a closely-knit household led by her elder uncle Hasnain Raza and aunt Shadiya Raza, who had four sons-Zain, Amir, Shayan, and Fayyaz.
Zairah lovingly called her elder uncle "Baba." She was closest to him, while she often found her own mother too strict. But in truth, Shabina only wanted her daughter to become a good person, someone who would not go astray.
Zairah studied in the same school as her cousin Fayyaz. They were in the same grade, only in different sections-she in B, he in A.
Her family was well-respected in the town. Hasnain and Khalil jointly managed a successful business. They also owned a boutique named Zairah Boutique, named lovingly after her by Hasnain Raza. Shadiya Raza managed the boutique, while Shabina pursued her passion for painting at home, teaching young children as well.
Zain, the eldest cousin, was an MBBS student who cracked NEET in his first drop year. Amir had just completed Class 12 and was preparing for JEE at a reputed institute nearby. Shayan was still in Class 12.
Zairah's life, however, wasn't as perfect as it seemed on the outside. She had made mistakes in the past and was once on a path of rebellion and impatience. She struggled to understand the difference between duniya (this world) and akhirah (the hereafter). But life had its ways-certain incidents brought her to a turning point. It was then she began to understand the value of sabar (patience) and what truly mattered in life.
